Old Lady Sees Late Mother’s Pendant at Flea Market, ‘I’ll Pay Double Its Price’ She Suddenly Hears – Story of the Day
In an antique store, an 80-year-old woman surprisingly discovered the priceless pendant belonging to her late mother. She was about to purchase it when a stranger interrupted her and offered to pay twice as much. She realized who it was and started crying.
Eighty years old Samantha frequently made purchases from the thrift store. She enjoyed purchasing antique furniture and showpieces to furnish her small, solo residence.

“Why would you want to buy my mom’s pendant?” Samantha asked the guy, who said he would buy it for twice as much.
Samantha sat and observed the store. A few moments later, her gaze was drawn to the antique shop located across the street from the furniture business.
“I’ll return shortly. “I’ll simply visit the store across to look for a candle stand,” she uttered.
“Okay, Ms. Drake. By then, I’ll have the shelves ready.”
Samantha was taken aback by what she saw in the antique shop not long after she entered.
“Oh my God! It can’t be this. How did you obtain this?” She pointed to a traditional crimson pendant on the mannequin while asking, her eyes shining with tears.
“Hi Mrs. Drake! Was this the one you meant to mention? The lovely chain with the pendant was taken off from the display by the vendor.
“Yes, please…can I see it?”
“All right, here you go. I’ll give it to you for $5 less than that, which is $40.” The salesperson grinned.
After flipping the pendant a few times, Samantha lost control of her tears.
Tears were running down her cheeks as she shouted, “I found it…This belonged to my mother!” “From where did you get it?”
“My dad told me that it was sold to him several years ago, but I’m not sure. My dad had kept it at home, so it had never been on show. I discovered it when I cleaned out the attic after he passed away last year. I decided to sell it here.”
Samantha’s eyes were so unbelievable. “I’m getting it!” she exclaimed, and as she reached into her bag to retrieve the cash, she heard a loud voice come in.
“I’ll pay twice as much for it…I need it badly, please provide it to me at any cost.”
Samantha was taken aback. When she turned back and saw a woman that resembled her, she gasped in shock.
“Oh my God! This is unbelievable! The second woman asked, “Am I looking at myself in the mirror? “.
“Oh, my! What’s taking place? And why do you look just like me?” Samantha exclaimed.
For a considerable amount of time, the two women gazed at one another, their remarkable likenesses beyond explanation.
“What—Which is your name? My name is Samantha.You as well?”
“I’m Doris!”
“And why would you want to buy my mom’s pendant?”
“Your mom’s pendant?”
Yes, this pendant belongs to my mother, Dorothy. After my dad left my mom, we fell into extreme poverty, so she had to sell everything to get money, and this pendant was one of the family antiques she sold. I have no idea how it ended up here, but she sold it to a man.”
“So that makes you my sister?!” Doris let out a cry and embraced a bewildered Samantha who was unable to comprehend what was going on.
“Sister? How do you mean? She yelled, shoving Doris aside to give her an explanation.
“Let me show you,” Doris said, pulling out an old, ripped picture of Dorothy holding a small child on her lap while wearing the pendant.
“Christ Jesus! This is just amazing! “This is my mother and me with her,” Samantha yelled.
That’s me, not you at all! We’re twins,” Doris, gorgeous Samantha, answered.
“What? How is that possible? “Oh my God, I didn’t know I had a sister,” Samantha exclaimed.
It found out that Samantha’s twin was, in fact, Doris. When Samantha and Doris were just a year old, their parents, Dorothy and Michael, filed for divorce due to a difficult period in their marriage. They split up, with each taking a single child to raise on their own.
Dorothy reared Samantha, and her father took care of Doris. They were split up early in life and never had the opportunity to reunite.
“….And when my granny died 40 years ago, she revealed the secret when I asked her about the other half of this torn photo,” Doris wept.
“I couldn’t address Dad because he had passed away a year before her. Nothing else about you that could lead me to follow you was left by him. I have no kids and lost my hubby a few years ago. I searched in vain for you for a long time. Thanks to Mom’s pendant, I believe it was God’s intention for us to cross paths today.”
“I came here to buy a candle stand, and right now, I am baffled!” In Doris’s arms, Samantha wept like a little child. “The pendant is yours to have! I’d seen mom wear it, but you were never allowed to spend any time with her. Now it ought to be yours!”
Doris was brought to tears and felt touched. After purchasing the pendant, Samantha hung it around Doris’s neck.
“You make me think of our mom! I’m happy to have met you. Come with me home!” She spoke as the proprietor of an enthusiastic antique shop noticed Samantha and Doris’s silhouettes leaving his establishment while holding hands!
